У рамках міжнародного проєкту «Тематичний маршрут замками 2 (CULT.ROUTE)», що реалізується за програмою Interreg VI A NEXT Hungary Slovakia Romania Ukraine, продовжуємо знайомити вас із багатою архітектурною спадщиною Івано-Франківщини.
Містечко Чернелиця, розташоване біля Дністра, відоме з 1440 року. Завдяки вигідному розташуванню воно швидко стало важливим оборонним та економічним центром Покуття. Саме тут у першій половині XVII століття зводять могутній замок - бастіон староголандського типу.
Фортеця стала ключовим укріпленням Речі Посполитої у протистоянні козацьким повстанням, татарським набігам і турецьким загрозам. У часи короля Яна ІІІ Собеського вона виконувала роль військово-логістичного центру, звідки здійснювалися походи проти ворогів.
Замок не лише мав оборонне значення, а й був резиденцією відомих родів - Бучацьких-Язловецьких, Чарторийських, Потоцьких та Ценських. Саме за їхньої ініціативи розбудовувалися палац, костел Святого Антонія Падуанського 
та інші споруди, що формували унікальний ансамбль Чернелиці.
На жаль, війни, пожежі та занепад у наступні століття призвели до руйнування замку. Особливо трагічними стали роки ХХ століття: під час воєн та радянського періоду частину комплексу було знищено. Сьогодні Чернелицький замок перебуває у стані руїни, але й далі зберігає велич та дух історії.
Ця пам’ятка - важливий символ минулого, який потребує уваги, реставрації та популяризації. Адже саме такі об’єкти творять неповторний туристичний образ нашого краю.

#CULTROUTE Chernelytsia Castle – ruins that preserve history
As part of the international project ‘Thematic Route of Castles 2 (CULT.ROUTE)’, implemented under the Interreg VI A NEXT Hungary Slovakia Romania Ukraine programme, we continue to introduce you to the rich architectural heritage of Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The town of Chernelytsia, located near the Dnister River, has been known since 1440. Thanks to its advantageous location, it quickly became an important defensive and economic centre of Pokuttia. It was here in the first half of the XVII century that a mighty castle, an Old Dutch-style bastion, was built.
The fortress became a key stronghold of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in its confrontation with Cossack uprisings, Tatar raids, and Turkish threats. During the reign of King Jan III Sobieski, it served as a military and logistical centre from which campaigns against enemies were carried out.
The castle not only had defensive significance, but was also the residence of famous families - the Buchatsky-Yazlovetsky, Czartoryski, Potocki and Censki families. It was on their initiative that the palace, the Church of St. Anthony of Padua and other buildings were built, forming the unique ensemble of Chernelytsia.
Unfortunately, wars, fires and decline in the following centuries led to the destruction of the castle. The 20th century was particularly tragic: during the wars and the Soviet period, part of the complex was destroyed. Today, Chernelytsia Castle is in ruins, but it still retains its grandeur and spirit of history.
This monument is an important symbol of the past that needs attention, restoration, and promotion. After all, it is precisely such objects that create the unique tourist image of our region.
